Writing for Rolling Stone, Peter Travers gave the spelfilm 3 out of 4 stars, saying, "Molly's Game bristles with fun zingers, electric energy and Sorkin's brand of verbal fireworks – all of which help enormously when the movie falters in fleshing out its characters.

[] The spelfilm looks skarp and a trio of editors keeps thing pacey despite the minute running time." It concluded: "One strong woman and many rik dock man for a good show."[39]
